Blog 4: Your Future As Midwife.

Always I think about my future as midwife, and I believe that it will be beautiful: I will work in an area that I love, medicine, and specially, the woman’s care. Ideally, I would like to work in the Public System, because I know that this area needs us. I can work in a near Hospital to my house.

I would like to work Monday at Friday, 8 a.m at 5 p.m, but I know that this is impossible, because the Public System need us always, not for few time. All I am asking is consideration: we are humans, not machines; the most probable is that we will have family: I don’t like to work all the day, and leave them alone.

The important is that working, I will be happy, but….. I would like to study, make a specialization, for example: A postgraduate course. The important is don’t stop to study, continue development.

One year ago, I thought that the career was boring; I didn’t know that the career is great. For a moment I thought that I don’t have future whit this. Now, I can say that I was wrong; I didn’t know the trust, I can help a lot of people.

To finish, I imagine that my future will be great as midwife. Only I should wait.

Blog 3: Your career/favourite subject.

Blog 3:

I think that the most interesting subject in our carrier is, between others, Physiology.
It’s a subject that tries to explain how work the things, the human systems. Physiology is divided in areas; for example: obstetric, neonatal and genecology physiology. In our career is one of the most complicate subject, I say that because everyone hate it in a moment, but if we don’t dedicate time for this, we won’t be a complete professional.
The hardest of this is understand how work molecules, hormones and proteins of the body, furthermore, is the longest class. As well, is one of the completer classes.
The easiest of this subject is, is, is, nothing. We should study everyday, and we don’t have time for this. The university is a prison!
Many teachers participate in this subject, but I don’t remember everyone. I can mention: Ocampo, Salech, And, I don’t remember others.
I had grades from a one up to a seven, I suppose; but I think that I had blues more than reds.
To finish, I want to say that: without Physiology, the life don’t have a logical answer, it can’t be explain. To be honest, we need this subject to help people.

BLOG 2: CAREER- RELATED- WEBSITE

When I have a work to the university, I visit Scielo, the Chilean Journal of Obstetric and Genecology. The website is: http://www.scielo.cl/scielo.php?pid=0717-7526&script=sci_serial

The page is a publication of the Chilean Society of Obstetric and Genecology. This site has a searcher that helps to facilitate the work: I have only that put the key word of the theme of research, and, appear a lot of papers related with my question. The work is easier if I shorten my search in the label.

I visit this website always when I have to research some about the career, illnesses, or when I have to make a report, for example, to Fundamentals of Nursing. I remember that in this site I search about PCR, for an exposition. It was very useful for the preparation of the presentation.

I like this page because is a good source to search information for our carrier, overcoat because it is a reliable site of reference, I say this so that in the university, the teachers recommend Scielo. They say that other websites are bad. We as student should select where search.
